Tata Institute of Fundamental Research invited applications for the following posts tenable at Mumbai.

 1.        Junior Engineer (B) {01 Post}

Age Limit
28 years
Educational Qualification & Experience
(i) SSC/ HSC.
(ii) Full Time Diploma in Instrumentation/ Mechatronics/ Electronics/ Electrical Engineering of three year duration with minimum 60% marks in every semester (iii) Knowledge of use of personal computers and its applications.
Desirable: (i) Exposure to the installation and commissioning of shop floor machine tools and fair working knowledge of Digital & Analog electronics, transducers and associated instrumentation.
(ii) Knowledge of C Programming Language.
(iii) Knowledge and operational experience of using CAD/CAM package Expertise in one of the solid modeling tools such as Solid Works, NX etc. and one CAM software, such as Master CAM, NX CAM,  DelCAM etc. The candidate should be familiar with G-code programming.
Experience:  (i) Candidate should have more than 1 year of post diploma experience in Operation and Electronic & Electrical maintenance of CNC and Conventional Machine Tools. 
(ii) Candidate should have hands on experience in Industrial Electrical System faults diagnoses & troubleshooting, PLC System faults diagnoses & troubleshooting, maintenance of Servo drive & motors and maintenance of Pneumatic & hydraulic actuators.
(iii) Candidate should have sound knowledge of Power Electronics, Motors & Motor Control Systems, Control Systems (Open and Closed Loop), Programmable Logic Control (PLC) system, Advanced PLC operations (PID and SCADA) and Automation. 
 2.        Junior Engineer (B) {01 Post}

Age Limit
33 years
Educational Qualification & Experience
(i) SSC/HSC.
(ii) AICTE approved Diploma in Electrical Engineering (3 years full time course) with minimum 60% marks.  
(iii) Knowledge of use of personal computers and its applications.
Desirable:  Knowledge in government tender process, estimation & tender preparation is desirable.
Experience:  1 year experience in electrical works. Candidates with hands on experience in the operation & maintenance of electrical installations, such as, Sub-Station equipments, providing power supply to users’ equipment etc.
 3.        Junior Engineer (B) {01 Post}

Age Limit
28 years
Educational Qualification & Experience
(i) SSC/ HSC.
(ii) AICTE approved Diploma in Mechanical/  Refrigeration   &  Air-conditioning Engineering (3 years full time course) with minimum 60% marks. 
(iii) Knowledge of use of personal computers and its applications.
Desirable:  Knowledge in government tender process, estimation & tender preparation is desirable.
Experience:  Minimum 1 year experience in relevant field.  Candidates with hands on experience in operations, maintenance & retrofitting works related to Central Air-conditioning systems will be given preference.
 4.        Engineer  Trainee (B) {02 Post}

Pay Band
Rs. 25000/- PM
Age Limit
28 years
Educational Qualification
B.E./ B. Tech in Computer Science/ Information Technology from a recognized University.
Desirable: Formal certification in Java.
