National Museum Institute invites applications from the eligible candidates for the one post each of Assistant Professor (Museology) and Assistant Registrar (Academic).

Educational Qualification
Essential: (i) Good academic record with not less than 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in Museology or Master’s degree in Conservation with not less than 55% marks from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
(ii) The candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
(iii) Candidates, who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. degree) Regulations, 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET.
Desirable: Ongoing Ph.D./Ph.D. in the above mentioned filed, with specialization in Museology or Conservation. Teaching and research experience in the above mentioned areas.
 2.        Assistant Registrar (Academic) {01 Post}

Rs. 9300-34800 with GP Rs. 4600/-
Age Limit
35 to 56  years
Educational Qualification
Essential: (i) Master’s degree with at least 55% of marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale with good academic record (5% relaxation in marks for SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities category)
(ii) At least three years experience in supervisory or equivalent cadre in a Group B Post in a Government Department/ University/ Educational or Research experience along with proven administrative capabilities.
(iii) All the direct recruits should possess working knowledge of computers.
(iv) In case of recruitment by deputation/ transfer, grades from which deputation/ trasfer to be made.
Desirable: Officers from the Central/ State Governments or Institute of national importance or Universities/ University level Institution.
(i) Holding analogous post, and
(ii) Possessing educational qualification and experience as prescribed in point (5) and (6i).
