1. Professor {10 Post}
|
Educational Qualification
|
For Professor in the Departments
(i) An eminent scholar with Ph. D. qualification in the concerned/ allied/ relevant discipline and published work of high quality actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and research/ policy papers.
(ii) A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in University/ College, and or experience in research at the University/ National level institutions/ industries, including experience of guiding candidates for research learning process.
(iii) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula, course and technology-mediated teaching learning process.
(iv) A minimum Based as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based on Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) as laid down in the 3rd amendment UGC Regulations, 2016 (copy attached).
For Computer Science & Engineering & Electronics and Communication
(i) Ph. D. degree with First class at Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in the appropriate Branch of Engineering & Technology and experience of ten years in teaching, research and or industry out of which at least five years at the level of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor or equivalent.
(ii) First Class Master’s Degree in the appropriate Branch of Engineering & Technology with significant professional work which can be recognized as equivalent to a Ph. D Degree in appropriate Branch of Engineering & Technology and industrial/ professional experience of ten years out of which at least five years at senior level of Assistant Professor/ Associate Professor.
(iii) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based on Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) as laid down in the UGC Regulation, 2010 in Appendix III.

2. Associate Professor {11 Post}

Educational Qualification
|
For Associate Professor in the Departments
(i) Good academic record with a Ph. D degree in concerned/ allied/ relevant disciplines.
(ii) Minimum 8 years of experience of teaching at the University, College level and or research in University/ National level institutions excluding the period spent for obtaining the research degree and a minimum of 5 publications as books and or research/ policy papers.
(iii) Contribution to educational innovation as designing of new course curricula and or outstanding performing achievement in the field of specialization – As per UGC Regulation 2010.
(iv) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based on Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) as laid down in the 3rd amendment UGC Regulations, 2016 (copy attached).
For Electronics and Communication
(i) A Ph. D Degree with First Class at Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering & Technology and experience of eight years in teaching, research and or industry at the level of Lecturer or equivalent grade, excluding period spent on obtaining the research degree.
(ii) In the event the candidates is from industry and the profession, the following shall constitute as essential:
(a) First class Master’s Degree in the appropriate branch of Engineering & Technology.
(b) Significant branch of Engg. & Technology and Industrial/ Professional experience of eight years in a position equivalent to the level of Lecture.

3. Assistant Professor {11 Post}

Educational Qualification
|
(i) Good academic record as defined by the concerned University with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s degree level, in a concerned subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited Indian/ Foreign University.
(ii) Fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) for Lectures/ Assistant Professor conducted by the UGC, CSIR or Similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET, SET. Candidates, who are or have been awarded Ph. D Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph. D degree) Regulations, 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in university/ Colleges/ Institution.
(iii) Further, the award of degree for candidates registered for the M.Phil/ Ph. D. programme prior to July 11 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/ by laws/ Regulations of the Institution awarding the degrees and the Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition positions in University/ Colleges/ Institution subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions:-
(a) Ph.D. degree of the candidates awarded in regular more only.
(b) Evaluation of the Ph.D. thesis by at least two external examiners.
(c) Candidates had presented two research papers out of which at least one in a refereed journal from out of hi/ her Ph. D. work.
(d) The candidates had presented two papers in seminars/ conferences from out of his/her PhD work.
(e) Open Ph. D viva-voce of the candidates had been conducted.

How to Apply:- Application fees of Rs. 400/- must be submitted along with the application from. The candidates SC/ST/PWD are exempted from the application fees, however, an amount of Rs. 100/- should be paid as postal expenses only. The filled in application form in duplicate with details dossiers along with recent passport size of photographs pasted in each application form is to be submitted in a sealed cover superscribed with “Post Applied for and Department”, to the Registrar, Rajiv Gandhi University, Rono Hills, Doimukh-791112.
