Applications are invited from desirous and eligible candidates for recruitment to the posts of Assistant Professors (College Cadre) Class-I (Gazetted) (on Contract basis) in the Department of Higher Education, Himachal Pradesh through ORA, which shall be available on the Commission’s website www.hp.gov.in/hppsc up to 04th July, 2016 till 11:59 P.M., thereafter link will be disabled

Educational Qualifications
|
i) A good academic record with at least 55% marks or an equivalent of 55%, wherever the grading system is followed in the Master’s degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from foreign University recognized by the Government of India.
ii) For the Assistant Professor in Fine Arts also i.e. Commercial Arts, Drawing and Painting and Sculpture, Master’s Degree in Fine Arts having good academic record with 55% marks or equivalent of 55% wherever grading system is followed.
iii) A relaxation of 5% is provided from 55% to 50% marks, at the Masters Degree for the SC/ ST Categories.
AND
A relaxation of 5% (from 55% to 50%) of marks, at the Master’s level to the Physically and Visually Handicapped persons in appointment as Assistant Professors.
iv) A relaxation of 5% is provided from 55% to 50% of the marks to the Ph.D. degree holders, who have passed their Masters Degree prior to the September, 1991.
v) “B” in the seven point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E & F shall be regarded as equivalent of 55% wherever the grading system is followed. (7 point scale is displayed in the foot note).
vi) Candidate besides fulfilling the above qualifications should have cleared the eligibility test (NET) for Assistant Professor conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited the State Public Service Commission.
vii) “NET/ SLET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor in Universities/ Colleges/ Institutions. Provided, however, that candidates, who are or have been awarded Ph.D Degree in compliance of the “University Grants Commission (minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph.D Degree), Regulation, 2009, shall be exempted from the requirement of minimum eligibility condition of NET/ SLET for appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in University/ Colleges/ Institutions.”

How to Apply:-
(i) Desirous/ eligible candidates must have to apply online through official website of the Commission www.hp.gov.in/hppsc Applications received through any other mode would not be accepted and summarily rejected.
(ii) The candidates, who wish to apply for more than one post, should apply separately for each post and will have to pay the requisite examination fees for each post in the prescribed manner.
(iii) After submitting the Online Recruitment Application(s) (ORA), the candidates are required to take a printout of the finally submitted Online Recruitment Application and submit the same along with requisite attested documents / certificates in support of their eligibility to the Commission on the day of Screening Test for the concerned post.
(iv) In case the candidate has applied against more than one item i.e. post published in the advertisement, the candidate is required to submit separate copies of requisite attested documents/ certificates along with the printout of the Online Recruitment Application of each post on the day of Screening Test for the respective posts.
