Essential: (i) An eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualifications(s) in the concerned/ allied/relevant discipline and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and/ or research/ policy papers.
(ii) A minimum of ten years of teaching, experience in university/ college related to Sanskrit Dramaturgy and Poetics, and/ or experience in research at the University/ National level.
(iii) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and course, and technology mediated teaching learning process.
(iv) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS), set out in the Regulation in Appendix III.
(v) In case of Professor (Sahitya), Acharya/ Master’s Degree in Sahitya with a minimum of 55% marks with specialization in Sahitya Shastra preferably in Natyashastra (Dramaturgy).
OR
An outstanding professional, with established reputation in the relevant field, who has made significant contributions to the knowledge in the concerned/ allied/ relevant discipline, to be substantiated by credentials.
For Education
(i) Postgraduate degree with 55% marks in the discipline relevant to the area of specialization.
(ii) Postgraduate degree in Education (Shiksha-Acharya/M.Ed/M.A. Education) with minimum 55% marks.
(iii) Ph.D. in Education or in the discipline relevant to the area of specialization.
(iv) At least ten years o teaching experience in university department of education or college of education, of which a minimum of five years at the M.Ed level and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and/ or research/ policy papers.
(v) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology mediated teaching learning process.
(vi) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) set out in the UGC’s Regulation at Appendix-III.
(vii) Knowledge of Sanskrit and ability to reach in Sanskrit (wherever applicable).

(iv) A minimum of eight years teaching experience in university department of education or college of education, with a minimum of three years at the M.Ed level and has published work with a minimum of 05 publications as books and/ or research/ policy papers in the relevant area of specialization.
(v) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and course and technology – mediated teaching learning process with evidence of having guided doctoral candidates and research students.
(vi) A minimum score as stipulated in the Academic Performance Indicator (API) based Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) set out in the UGC’s Regulation at Appendix-III.
(vii) Knowledge of Sanskrit and ability to teach in Sanskrit (wherever applicable).
