1. Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ (Space & Atmospheric Science) – 01 Post
Educational Qualifications & Essential: M.Sc /M.Tech in Physics/ Atmospheric Science/ Earth System Science / Meteorology or equivalent.
Desirable: (i) Research experience in numerical weather forecasting or regional climate modeling or Aerosol / Greenhouse Gas radiative forcing or in any other relevant field of Atmospheric Science.
(ii) Expertise in LINUX operating system, programming skill in MATLAB, FORTRAN, IDL, etc
(iii) Expertise in working using parallel computing systems.
(iv) Conversant in Remote Sensing and Geographic Information System Software’s.
2. Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ (Geoscience) – 01 Post
Educational Qualifications & Essential: M.Sc/ M.Tech in Geology or equivalent.
Desirable: Experience in Remote Sensing / Microwave Remote Sensing / Geostatistics / Modelling and data processing.
3. Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ (Geoinformatics Applications) – 01 Post
Educational Qualifications & Essential: M.Sc/M.E/M.Tech in Remote Sensing & GIS / Geo-Informatics/Geomatics or equivalent.
Desirable: (i) Working experience In C++, Java, RDBMS for RS & GIS applications
(ii) Knowledge in web GIS using Geoserver, Mapserver, UML, XML, open layers, JQuery and free/open source will be an added advantage.
(iii) Working experience in Digital Image Processing/spatial modeling/SDSS.
4. Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ (Urban Planning) – 01 Post
Educational Qualifications & Essential: (i) M.Sc in Geography (Urban Planning/Regional Planning). Or
(ii) M.Plan/M Tech (Planning) in Urban & Regional Planning with specialization in Urban & Regional Planning or equivalent.
Desirable: (i) Working experience in the field of Remote Sensing applications in the relevant subject.
(ii) Processing of Very High Resolution (VHR) Satellite Data
(iii) Knowledge in preparation of large scale mapping using VHR Satellite Data
(iv) Knowledge in Master plan preparation for Urban area.
Selection Process: The qualification prescribed is the minimum requirement and possession of the same does not automatically make the candidates eligible to be called for interview. A duly constituted Screening Committee shall screen the applications received for the posts based on the given eligibility criteria and may fix criteria as it may consider necessary for short listing the candidates for interview. In case candidate is claiming equivalent specialization, he/she has to obtain certificate from his/her institute/university stating that the specialization is equivalent to the one asked in the advertisement for the post applied for. Final decision on this will be taken by the Screening Committee. The screened-in/shortlisted candidates will be called for interview before the Selection Committee. Communication shall be sent only to the screened-in/shortlisted candidates. NESAC will not entertain any correspondence on the issue of short-listing of candidates. The call letters for the interview to the short-listed candidates will be sent only by e-mail. No communication shall be made to the candidates who are not short-listed/Screened in.
How to Apply:- The application form will be hosted in the NESAC web-site www.nesac.gov.in. Last date for submission of On-line Application Forms is 25.10.2016 and closing time will be 15.00 Hrs. Hrs. Candidates need to apply through online mode only. Those who are working in Central Govt./State Govt. or its autonomous bodies/PSU/Corporation are required to send the NOC within two weeks of the last date of online application.
