The Indian Institute of Public Administration, an apex National Institute for the study of Public Administration and Governance, engaged in high end Research and Training programmes for the Union and State Governments, Public Sector Enterprises and not-for-Profit Organizations, invites applications for various Teaching/Non-Teaching positions from Indian Nationals for the following positions.

1.  Professor of Economics/Applied Economics – 01 Post
Salary: Rs. 1,75,000/- PM
Age Limit: 62 years
Educational Qualifications:(i) A good academic record throughout with Master’s Degree in Economics or Applied Economics or Commerce or Finance with Minimum First Class (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed and class/division is not awarded) with Ph.D. in an allied/related discipline and published work of high quality in the field of Economics, Indian economic policy, Macroeconomics, Monetary and Financial Economics, Public Economics, International Trade and Investment, Global business environment, Indian economic Development & Planning, Contemporary policy issues etc., actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and/or research/policy papers and experience of handling large projects sponsored by both national and international agencies.
(ii) A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college, and experience of Research in relevant areas at the University/National level institution/Industries/research think tanks similar to IIPA. Previous teaching experience to high level government officials like IAS, IPS, IES etc. and experience of working with different ministries of the government of India and state governments on policy issues are strongly desirable.
(iii) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses along with technology-mediated teaching learning process.
(iv) An outstanding Professional/Civil Servant with minimum ten years of Senior level experience and possessing Master’s Degree in Economics or Applied Economics or Commerce or Finance with Minimum First Class (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed and class/division is not awarded) with Ph.D. in an allied/related discipline along with established reputation and experience in the relevant field, who has made significant contributions in Economics, Indian economic policy, International Trade and Investment, Global business environment, Indian economic Development & Planning and Contemporary policy issues etc.

Salary: Rs. 80,000/- PM (SI. No. 2 to 5)
Age Limit: 40 years (SI. No. 2 to 5)

2.  Assistant Professor of Economics/Applied Economics – 01 Post
Educational Qualifications:Master’s Degree in Economics /Applied Economics or equivalent with minimum 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) with Ph.D. in Economics/Applied Economics or an allied/related discipline.


3.  Assistant Professor of Urban Development – 01 Post
Educational Qualifications:Master’s Degree in Planning or Architecture or Urban Management or Civil Engineering or “Economics/Geography with specialization in urban development/ governance/ housing/transport/ environment/finance” with minimum 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) with Ph.D. in the area of Urban Development or related disciplines.

4.  Assistant Professor of Sociology/Social Work – 01 Post
Educational Qualifications:Minimum 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in Sociology/Social Anthropology or Master of Social Works (MSW) with Ph.D. in relevant/concerned discipline.

5.  Assistant Professor of IT and e-Governance – 01 Post
Educational Qualifications:MCA or M.Tech./M.E./MBA in IT and Systems or allied disciplines or M.Sc. in Electronics and Communications with minimum 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) with Ph.D. in relevant/concerned discipline.

Age Limit: 35 years (SI. No. 6 & 7)

6.  Assistant Publication Officer – 01 Post
Salary: Rs. 55,000/- PM
Educational Qualifications:(i) Post Graduate Degree with minimum 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) preferably in any of the Social Sciences with Diploma in Printing Technology/Journalism/Marketing.
(ii) 05 years experience in publishing with capacity for handling editing, production, marketing and sales subscription operation with leadership quality and excellent publication quality along with capacity for liaisoning with academic staff.

7.  Professional Assistant – 01 Post
Salary: Rs. 35,000/- PM
Educational Qualifications:(i) Minimum 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s Degree level in Library Science or Library and Information science.
(ii) Minimum 02 years experience in Library Operations in any reputed Library/Institution.
(iii) Proficiency in Computer Applications in Library Functioning like knowledge and experience of Information management and database management in library set-up and experience of handling of e-Documents/e-Journals etc.
