Assam Agricultural University (AAU), invited applications for the following post.

Pay Band: Rs. 37400-67000 with GP Rs. 10000/-  (SI. No. 1 to 3)

1.  Director of Research (Agri)
Educational Qualifications:(i) Passed Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/ Agricultural Engineering/ Agriculture.
(ii) Secured 55% marks or minimum Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) of 3.00 in 4 point scale or 7.00 in 10 point scale at the Master’s degree level in disciplines of Agriculture/Agricultural Engineering/ Agriculture from an Indian University or a foreign University.


2.  Director of Extension Education
Educational Qualifications:(i) Passed Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/ Veterinary Science/Home Science/ Fisheries/Agricultural Engineering/ Agriculture.
(ii) Secured 55% marks or minimum Overall Grade Point Average (OGPA) of 3.00 in 4 point scale or 7.00 in 10 point scale at the Master’s degree level in disciplines of Agriculture/ Veterinary Science/Home Science/ Fisheries/Agricultural Engineering/ Agriculture from an Indian University or a foreign University.

3.  Associate Dean (Veterinary Science)
Educational Qualifications:(i) Passed Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science.
(ii) Secured minimum 55% marks or minimum Cumulative Grade Pont Average (MCGPA) of 3.00 in 4 point scale or 7.00 in 10 point scale at the Master’s degree level in disciplines of Veterinary Science from an Indian University or a foreign university.

Pay Band: Rs. 12000-40000 with GP Rs. 6100/- (SI. No. 4 to 6)

4.  Lady Medical Officer
Educational Qualifications:(i) The minimum educational qualification shall be at least high second Class MBBS degree from a recognized University. Post Graduate degree in general Medicine is desirable.
(ii) Five years practical experience in Medical College or in a Hospital of standing. Preference shall be given to persons having experience in Govt. recognized Hospitals/institutions.

5.  Chief Scientist
Educational Qualifications:(i) Passed Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Science.
(ii) Secured 55% marks or minimum Cumulative Grade Pont Average (MCGPA) of 3.00 in 4 point scale or 7.00 in 10 point scale at the Master’s degree level in disciplines of Veterinary Science from an Indian University, or a foreign university.

6.  Junior Scientist
Educational Qualifications:(i) Passed Bachelor’s Degree in Fishery Science.
(ii) Secured minimum 55% marks or minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (MCGPA) of 3.00 in 4 point scale or 7.00 in 10 point scale at the Master’s degree level in the discipline of Aquaculture or Fisheries Resource Management from an Indian university or a foreign university.

Pay Band: Rs. 25000/- PM (Rs. 30000/- for Ph.D. degree holder) (SI. No. 7 to 11)

7.    Assistant Professor (Plantation Crop, Spices Aromatic & Medicinal Plants) – 01 Post

Educational Qualifications:(i) Passed Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture/Horticulture to the requirement of the post.
(ii) Secured minimum 55% marks or minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (MCGPA) of 3.00 in 4 point scale or 7.00 in 10 point scale at the Master’s degree level in discipline of Horticulture from an Indian university or a foreign university.
(iii) Qualified National Eligibility Test (NET). NET is waived for candidates with Ph.D. degree, provided such degree is obtained under course credit system in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedures for Award of Ph.D. Degree, 2009 Regulation) and the candidate has at least two full length publications having NAAS rating not less than 4, on the last date of submission of application.

8.  Assistant Professor (Harvest Technology) – 01 Post
9.  Assistant Professor (Floriculture & Landscaping) – 01 Post
Educational Qualifications: (iii) Qualified National Eligibility Test (NET). NET is waived for candidates with Ph.D. degree, provided such degree is obtained under course credit system in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedures for Award of Ph.D. Degree, 2009 Regulation) and the candidate has at least two full length publications having NAAS rating not less than 4, on the last date of submission of application.

10.   Assistant Professor (English) – 04 Post
Educational Qualifications:(i) Masters degree in English with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent Grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O,A,B,C,D,E and F.
(ii) National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the University Grant Commission, Counsel of Scientific and Industrial Research or similar test accredited by the University Grant Commission like SLET/SET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition for recruitment and appointment as Assistant Professor in Colleges. The candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the University Grant Commission (minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph.D. degree) regulation, 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent position in Colleges. NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such Master’s programmes in disciplines for which NET/SLET.SET is not conducted.

11.   Assistant Professor (Mathematics) – 03 Post
Educational Qualifications:(i) Masters degree in Mathematics Good academic record with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O,A,B,C,D,E and F.
(ii) National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the University Grant Commission, Counsel of Scientific and Industrial Research or similar test accredited by the University Grant Commission like SLET/SET shall remain the minimum eligibility condition for recruitment and appointment as Assistant Professor in Colleges. The candidates, who are, or have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with the University Grant Commission (minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph.D. degree) regulation, 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or Equivalent position in colleges.
