Punjab Police Recruitment 2016 Apply online for Jail Warders & Matrons

Punjab Police invited applications for direct recruitment from Indian nationals using the website www.punjabpolicerecruitment.in to fill up the following vacancies of Jail Warders (Male)/ Matrons (Female) in department of Jails, Punjab.

Pay Band: Rs. 10300-34800 with GP Rs. 3200/-
Age Limit: 18 years and 25 years
Educational Qualifications:(i) The minimum educational qualifications shall be 12th or its equivalent from a recognized education Board/ University. The candidate must have also passed Matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects or any other equivalent examination in Punjabi language.
(ii) However, in case of Ex-Servicemen, the minimum educational qualifications shall be Matriculation. Provided that if the Ex-Serviceman (or the wife/ dependent child of Ex-Serviceman, as the case may be) has not passed Matriculation examination with Punjabi as one of the compulsory or elective subjects, he shall have to pass an examination of Punjabi language equivalent to Matriculation standard or he shall have to qualify a test conducted by the language wing of the department of education of the Punjab Government within a period of two years from the date of his appointment as per Punjab Government notification no. GSR-33/Const./ Art 309/94 dated 4th of May, 1994.
Selections Procedure: Recruitment Boards under the overall supervision of the Central Recruitment Board shall conduct the recruitment for Jail Warders (Male)/ Matrons (Female). The Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and the Physical Screening Test (PST) of a candidates shall be conducted on a single day, and the entire process for each candidates shall be got video-graphed. The candidates will be assigned the nearest Recruitment Centre for PMT and PST. Only candidates who clear the PMT and PST will be enlisted based on the merit list. Only those candidates who fulfill the requisite minimum and maximum age and educational qualifications shall be screened in the Physical Measurement Test. All such eligible candidates who have been found to be of requisite height and chest measurement will qualify to be put through the Physical Screening Test (PST).
