NIPER Guwahati is now inviting applications for Teaching and Non-Teaching positions on contractual basis which are likely to be continued based on the performance of the selected candidates. Candidates will be paid consolidated emoluments as per the norms and the emoluments will be fixed at the time of interview based on the experience and selection committee recommendations.

1. Associate Professor (Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology) – 01 Post
Educational Qualifications:Ph.D in Pharmaceutical sciences with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree (MS Pharm/ M Pharm/M.Tech) in Pharmacology and Toxicology / Biotechnology with good academic record throughout. A minimum of 6 years of post PhD Teaching/Research/industrial experience, of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor / Senior Scientific Officer/ or equivalent on the date of applications. The candidate should have demonstrated leadership in In vitro and In vivo pharmacology mainly in the areas of cancer, diabetes, inflammation and in terms of guidance of Master’s and Ph.D. students, strong record of publications in SCI indexed journals and conference, patents, laboratory / course development and / or other recognized relevant professional activities such as principal investigator of major research projects.
Educational Qualifications: Ph.D in Pharmaceutical Sciences with 1st class or equivalent at the preceding degree (M.S.(Pharm)/M.Pharm) in the Pharmacy practice having teaching/industrial/research experience with good academic record. Minimum 6 years of Post Ph.D. experience in Teaching/Industry/Research out of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent at P.G. level teaching/Industrial/ Research Institute. The candidate should have demonstrated leadership in research in a specific area of specialization in terms of guidance of Ph D students, strong record of publications in reputed journals and conferences, patents, laboratory/course development and/or other recognized relevant professional activities such as principal investigator of major research projects.
3. Technical Assistant – 01 Post
Age Limit: 28 years
Educational Qualifications:Ist class MS Pharm/ M Pharm in Pharmacology and Toxicology or M.Sc in Microbiology/ Biotechnology / Biochemistry Good academic record with strong background in Basic Microbiology and Molecular techniques such as cell culture handling, PCR, ELISA etc.,
Age Limit: 40 years (SI. No. 4 & 5)
4. Secretary to Director – 01 Post
Educational Qualifications & Essential: Post Graduate with 55% marks with 8 years of experience as stenographer or secretarial job in a University/IITs/ Academic & Research Institutes with good communication and computer skills.
Desirable: Short hand higher, Type writing higher and proficiency in English language is desirable. Should be able to type on computer by direct dictation or through audio dictation.
5. Section Officer (Stores & Purchase) – 01 Post
Educational Qualifications & Essential: Post Graduate with 55% marks with 8 years in dealing and supervising stores and purchase in Central University/IITs/Central research institutes of repute.
Desirable: Conversant with import procedures, inventory control and material management and experience in computer and data entry operations.
