Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), an Autonomous Trust under the administrative control of Ministry of Culture, invites applications in the prescribed format for the six (6) positions of Professor in IGNCA, New Delhi on the following areas.

Age Limit: 62 years
Eligibility Criteria: By promotion of Associate Professor in the IGNCA having 3 (three) years’ service in the grade of relevant/related stream.
Deputation/ Contract: (i) Persons holding analogous post in the PB 4 i.e. Rs.37400-67000 + Rs10000 G.P. or
(ii) Having 3 (three) years service as Associate Professor in the Government/ Universities/ Academic and Research Institutions/ Autonomous Organizations and having.
Essential Qualifications:(i) An eminent scholar having doctorate degree in relevant/related discipline.
(ii) 10 years’ experience of teaching and/or research.
(iii) Published work of high quality with active engagement in research work.
Or
An outstanding scholar of high repute who has made significant contribution to knowledge in the relevant/related discipline.
Desirable: Experience of guiding research at doctoral level.

Pay Band: PB-2 Rs. 9300-34800 with GP Rs. 4800/-
Age Limit: 35 years
Educational Qualifications:(i) Doctorate in Anthropology/ Folklore/ Archaeology/ Arts, Humanities or Languages; Specialization in Cultural Anthropology/Folklore/Ethno-archaeology/Art History/ Museology/Any other related subject.
(ii) Five (5) years’ experience of research/field documentation/teaching.
