Age Limit: 56 years
Educational Qualifications & Essential: M.Sc. in Agricultural Chemistry or M.Sc. in Chemistry with specialisation either in Organic Chemistry or Analytical Chemistry from a recognised University or Institution.
Desirable: Doctorate Degree in Agricultural Chemistry or Doctorate degree in Chemistry with research work on Pesticides related subjects from a recognised university.

Eligibility Conditions: Officers under the Central Government or State Government or Union Territories possessing the following service and experience, are eligible:-
(i) holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or Department; or
(ii) with five years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the Pay band 2 in the pay scale of Rs. 9300-34800 with Grade Pay of Rs. 5400 (revised Level-9 of Pay Matrix) in the parent cadre or Department; or
(iii) with six years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the Pay band 2 in the pay scale of Rs. 9300-34800 with Grade Pay of Rs. 4800 (revised Level-8 of Pay Matrix) or equivalent in the parent cadre or Department; or
(iv) with ten years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in the Pay band 2 in the pay scale of Rs. 9300-34800 with Grade Pay of Rs. 4200 (revised Level-6 of Pay Matrix) or equivalent in the parent cadre or Department; and
