North Orissa University invites applications in the prescribed format from the eligible candidates for recruitment to the following posts as mentioned against each in different Post-Graduate Departments.

1. Professor – 02 Post
Pay Band: Rs. 37400-67000 with AGP Rs. 10000/-
Educational Qualifications:(i) An eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification(s) in the concerned/ allied/ relevant discipline and published work of high quality actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and / or research / policy papers.
(ii) A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in University / College and / or experience in research at the University / National level Institutions / Industries, including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level.
(iii) Contribution to educational innovation, design of new curricula and courses, and technology – mediated teaching learning process.
(iv) A minimum consolidated score of 400 points from categories II & III of APIs (cumulative) as specified vide UGC Notification No. F.1-2/2016 (PS/Amendment) dated 11.7.2016;
OR
An outstanding professional with established reputation in the relevant field, who has made significant contributions to the knowledge in the concerned /allied / relevant discipline, to be substantiated by credentials.
Pay Band: Rs. 15600-39100 with GP Rs. 6000/-
Educational Qualifications: (i) Good academic record with at least 55% of the marks or an equivalent grade of “B” in the seven point scale with letter graders, O,A,B,C,D, E and F at the Master’s Degree level in the concerned subject from an Indian University or an equivalent Degree from a foreign University. However, relaxation of 5% marks, i.e., from 55% to 50% is allowed for candidates having Ph.D. Degree and passed their Master’s Degree prior to 19.09.1991.
(ii) A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the Graduate and Master’s level for the SC/ST/Differently-abled (Physically and Visually Handicapped) candidates for the purpose of eligibility of educational qualification and for assessing good academic record during direct recruitment to teaching positions. N.B. Rounding off of marks to make it to 55% or 50% as the case may be through grace mark procedure etc. by Universities is not permissible for claiming relaxation.
(iii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) for Lectureship conducted by the UGC, CSIR for the respective subjects. Further, the candidates having Ph. D. Degree prior to the July 11, 2009 shall be exempted for the requirement of NET subject to the fulfillment of following conditions:
(a) Ph. D. Degree of the candidate in regular mode.
(b) Evaluation of Ph. D. Thesis by at least two external examiners.
(c) Open Ph. D. viva-voce of the candidate has been conducted.
(d) Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph. D. work out of which at least one must be in a refereed journal.
(e) Candidate has made at least two presentations in Conferences/ Seminars based on his/her Ph. D. work.
